Columbus Ohio Wedding Photographer | Best of 2011

I still can not believe that 2011 is over!  Not only is it 2012, but January is gone and February is in full swing!  Before you know it, it will be March, and then Easter, and then 4th of July!  How do you make time SLOW down?!  2011 was really a great year, with so many great moments and memories.  Now that wedding season has died down and all of the planning and preparation is over, I get a chance to look back on all of the wonderful weddings I had the honor of photographing.  That’s the wonderful and amazing thing about photography, and the reason why I am a photographer….having the ability to stop time.  I love the idea that I can capture precious moments with my camera that will forever be present in the lives of my clients…well really friends:) I can not express enough to all of my brides and grooms this past year how honored and blessed I feel that you chose me to share your beautiful wedding day with you.  I get so much joy knowing that I can bring a little bit of happiness into your lives with my photographs.  Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, you are each so special to me and I will forever be grateful that you allowed me, and my camera;)into your lives.  Here are a few images from all of the wonderful weddings of 2011!   Happy 2012~

Columbus Ohio Wedding Photographer | Jackson

There is nothing quite like being around a newborn baby, especially during this time of year.  Everything is so new and exciting and just wonderful!  You can’t help but think about the new little life in front of you and all of the possibilities and opportunities that await him or her.  This past November our good friends Jason and Tricia welcomed their first child into the world, Jackson Andrew Guilliams.  Right before Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing little Jackson.  Poor thing was such a trooper, all he wanted to do was sleep in peace but we made sure that did not happen as we were dressing, undressing, wrapping, unwrapping, arranging, rearranging him every few minutes!  Then Doug had the wonderful idea of placing a heating pad underneath a few blankets to try and keep him warm, and man it worked like a charm!  He fell so fast asleep that we couldn’t wake him even if we wanted lol  (see I knew there was a reason I keep Doug around;))  We really had a wonderful time not only photographing Jackson, but also seeing Jason and Tricia as new parents.  It’s truly amazing to watch your friends experience parenthood for the first time:) It gives me the confidence that when the day comes that the Lord blesses Doug and I with a little one that we too will be able to successfully move into parenthood.  Thank you so much Jason and Tricia for asking me to photograph your new little bundle.  Doug and I are so happy for you both, and feel blessed to be able to share a small part of this new experience with you!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Columbus Ohio Wedding Photographer | Stephanie and Chase

Stephanie and Chase are such a great couple!  Even though we had not met before their  engagement session, I instantly felt at ease around them.  They have been together for several years and the special connection that they share is very  clear.  Stephanie and Chase really wanted to have their engagement photos take at Ohio University where they both went to school.  I had only been to OU once before and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the campus was.  The weather was absolutely perfect, and we had a great time walking around the campus while spotting several great photo locations.  Stephanie and Chase also took me around to a few of their favorite spots, including the engineering building where Chase spent a lot of time, and their special tree where they would often meet:) The whole day was perfect, and we shared a lot of laughs together.  One of the best parts of my job is having the chance to meet such great couples that ordinarily I would have never had the opportunity to meet.  I am so excited to be photographing Stephanie and Chase’s wedding, I know that it will be a beautiful day!  Thank you again Stephanie and Chase for allowing me to photograph your love for one another:)
