I know that this is a little late, but hey better late than never right?! I had the pleasure this past fall, to photograph two of Doug’s cousins that are graduating high school in just a few months. Since Doug and I started dating when we were only in high school, I have pretty much watched Jackson and Trent grow up into the wonderful you men that they are today! It is still crazy for me to think that they were both just in grade school when I first became a part of Doug’s family. Both of us grew up extremely close to our extended families and I felt a part of Doug’s family immediately. I had the pleasure of photographing both of my cousins high school photos and it just seemed fitting that I would do the same for Doug’s! Trent and Jackson are both so wonderful and so much fun to be around! I had so much fun photographing them, each emphasizing their different personalities. We went back home to WV to do both of their photo shoots, and it really was a beautiful fall day. We started with Trent, just traveling around downtown Wellsburg, my old stomping grounds, and ended up at the high school were we then met Jackson to photograph on the tennis courts and around the school grounds. Each of their sessions were so different, but they both showcased their individual personalities. Thank you Jackson and Trent for being such good sports! I know that you both have a wonderful future in store for you and I wish you nothing but love and luck! Congratulations again on your up in coming graduations!!

This past Sunday I had an impromptu maternity shoot with my co-worker, friend, and fellow photographer Julie Eckert. I met Julie a year ago when I started my venture as a photo stylist for DSW. We quickly bonded over our sarcastic sense of humors, love for volleyball, and of course love of photography. Not only is Julie a great mentor as a photo stylist, but she is also an incredible portrait photographer (J. Ann Photography). So when she asked me if I would be willing to shoot some maternity photos of her I was a little intimidated to say the least! I am always a little nervous before any of my photo shoots, but to be photographing a fellow professional is nerve wracking! As soon as we started though, my nerves melted away (pun intended 
) Julie was gorgeous, the weather was perfect, the lighting was amazing, we could not have asked for a better day! Let me tell you, photographing a portrait photographer certainly comes with it’s benefits, in fact I barely had to give her any direction at all! She knew exactly where to place her feet, tilt her head, and pose her body, it made my job so easy! We really had a great time, and the photos turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. Thank you Julie for being an amazing model 
It has been so awesome being able to share a small part of your journey to mother hood for the second time, I can’t wait to meet the little one soon!

Erin and I instantly hit it off at our very first meeting. We meet a couple of months back at a coffee shop to meet and discuss a little more about her wedding day. Erin was so sweet and so friendly that I instantly wanted to work with her! Thankfully she decided to book me as their wedding photographer, and I could not be more thrilled! We made plans to meet for their engagement session at Cup of Joe in the Short North. Erin and Ken really wanted to do some shots inside the coffee house because it is a pass time that they both really enjoy doing together. Of course I was absolutely more than happy to so some cozy shots inside the warm bistro Even though it was my first time meeting Ken, we too clicked right away. They were both so in their element, drinking coffee, laughing, and just being together. After we took a few indoors, we decided to walk around the Short North to find some cool spots and then make our way to Goodale Park. While walking around the shops downtown, we came across some really great paintings and city scenes. The weather was absolutely gorgeous for late November, so the three of us had such a great time discovering new locations and just laughing together. Erin was a little worried that we would not be able to find any fall leaves left on the tress, but thankfully Goodale Park had an array of colorful yellow, green, and orange trees! It really could not have been more perfect I had such a great time getting to know both Erin and Ken a little better. I am sooo excited to photograph their wedding next October! Thanks Erin and Ken for being so great to work with! I can’t wain until the wedding day!
